JOB TITLE:            PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

LOCATION:           EASTERN BYPASS, NAIROBI

TERMS:                  FULL TIME

REPORTING TO:      OPERATIONS MANAGER

ABOUT US.

Bottle Logistics EA. Ltd. specializes in efficiently recovering industrial and post-consumer glass waste and processes it into highly refined glass cullet, glass aggregate and clean reusable bottles for respective brand owners. We build strong collaborations across the value chain ensuring high recovery rates of the glass waste in its best form. We recover and recycle all hollow glass bottles and glass jars. These include wine and spirit glass bottles, water glass bottles, cosmetic glass bottles and glass jars.

ABOUT THE ROLE:         

As a Production Supervisor, your primary role is to oversee the washing, quality control, packaging, and delivery of reusable glass bottles.  You will work to develop standard operating procedures, increase production output, while maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the production process. Below is a summary of your duties.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR.

·       Develop, implement, and monitor daily, weekly, monthly production schedules to meet production targets.

·       Monitor the efficiency of the production process, optimizing for throughput, quality and waste reduction. 

·       Co-ordinate production activities, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and client requirements.

·       Analyze production output and identify gaps in the process to increase efficiencies.

·       Avail, manage and optimize resources for production e.g. water, soap etc.

·       Ensure all production machineries are well serviced and maintained.

·       Develop all production SOPs.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT.

·       Develop quality SOPs for the washing process, quality control, packaging and delivery of reusable glass bottles.

·       Ensure quality standards of final product meet customer requirements.

·       Ensure packaging standards meet customer specifications.

HEALTH AND SAFETY.

·       Develop, implement and enforce health, safety and environmental protocols to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with regulatory standards.

·       Reduce occupational hazards and accidents at the workplace.

·       Conduct risk assessments and regulatory safety audits to maintain a safe workplace.

·       Lead incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as necessary to prevent future incidents.

CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENTS.

·       Ensure continuous innovation, and improvements in the production department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Minimum of a Diploma in a related field.

·       Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.

·       Have basic computer skills i.e, Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint.

·       Excellent communication skills and organization skills.

·       Ready to learn on the job.

GROSS SALARY- 40,000 per month.
